I used to use a fine-tip sharpie to do casual inking back a few years ago. That is definitely not the kind you want to use for good art (they bleed too much).
When I started cartooning seriously, I tried out a few different ink pens, including those stupid metal things that always need to be refilled. You might as well ink your drawings with a filet knife.
I ended up going with the Writer: ZIG Memory System, a double sided pen (I found mine at Dick Blick) This pen works quite well for about 20 straight pages of inking. After that it begins it's journey to becoming all dried up.
Anyway, here's the point. I would like to know what the rest of you use or have found to be successful in your own endeavors. When my own webcomic starts up, I need to have a reliable ink source.

) I got used to working with a brush on negatives and prints. No, it doesn't give me the same control as a pencil or ballpoint pen, but once the personality of the brush is figured out the results are worth it. I just like how the line quality looks and all details are done with Micron pens.
