Wow! Who would have ever guessed that putting your web comic front and center on your web comic site would be a good idea?





I'm sorry. I just see this (hiding the comic) all the time and it never fails to infuriate me. Even the slightest hint that putting the comic on the first page is anything but the most blindingly obvious course of action fills me with the burning rage of a million exploding stars.

With the single exception of Penny Arcade - who I forgive only for the sake of their bandwidth - I refuse to look at anything that makes me click past a stupid splash screen or a "click here for comic" link (typically in tiny font, barely indistinguishable from the ugly background, far far away from the upper-left corner where it should be).

And for the love of God, if you are going to make people click to find the comic (which you shouldn't anyway), use the word "comic" in the navigation. Don't call it "pages", or "newest", or "story", or "narrative", or "art", or whatever other retarded name sounds pretentious and important.
